The Fan Fire Collar provides 30‑minute fire protection for recessed ceiling fan installations in residential and commercial buildings. Designed for use with Ø 125 mm ceiling fans, the collar reinstates the fire rating of the ceiling by sealing the penetration during a fire. Its integral intumescent lining expands under heat to close the opening and prevent fire spread, maintaining the performance of the original floor/ceiling system.

Technical Details
The Fan Fire Collar is compatible with Ø 125 mm ceiling fans and is suitable for installation in solid timber joists, metal web joists, and timber I‑beam floor and ceiling systems. It has been fire tested to BS EN 1365‑2 on a loaded floor, achieving 30 minutes Integrity (E), Insulation (I) and Classification (EI). The unit incorporates a steel mounting ring with an integral intumescent lining and a duct connector, ensuring straightforward installation and secure integration within the ceiling structure.

Fire Performance
The Fan Fire Collar delivers a 30‑minute fire classification across a range of common joist constructions, including Mitek PS10+ metal web joists, JJI joists, and solid timber joists. When exposed to heat, the intumescent material expands to seal the ceiling aperture, helping to prevent fire and smoke from breaching the floor/ceiling assembly.
