Manrose Launches New Digital Channels

Manrose has recently launched two new digital channels to make it even easier for customers to access product information they need, while keeping pace with the electrical sector’s trend for increased digitalisation.

The first is Manrose’s new website Long known for its practical, reliable products that it has been manufacturing for over 30 years, the new website brings a fresh, modern look to its brand while offering a site that is easy-to-use and navigate. The second digital channel is its brand new ‘My Manrose’ app which makes it simple for electricians, wholesalers and DIYers to access digital product information straight from their smart devices whether online or offline.

Manrose is on point with its digitalisation since the electrical industry is increasingly accessing data via digital means and this trend is set to continue. In fact, in the Electrical Distributors Association (EDA) 2019/20 sector survey1 showed that the most important digital channel for contractors was manufacturer websites, making Manrose’s new website even more timely. If anything, 2020 has seen this trend accelerating due the Pandemic with us all seeing people less face-to-face, digitalisation becomes increasingly valuable to all.

In addition, UK construction software company, Causeway, recently commissioned the report ‘Construction’s Digital Frontline: How an industry is stepping up to its transformation opportunity’2. It reveals that 2020 has been a pivotal year for the uptake of digital solutions including within the supply chain where 65% have built stronger relations thanks to adopting digital technologies. And according to the research, 81% of respondents said that they will be increasing efforts to improve their business digitally, meaning the trend for increased digitalisation is only set to continue.

“Our new digital channels are a real asset and give customers even more options to access information, with both the website and app offering information at the touch of a button or tap of a phone screen”, said Clive Britton, Sales Director at Manrose. “Our new website really brings Manrose’s online offering right up-to-date with the latest in searchability and useability. We’ve made sure that our customers can access the website how and where they want, with the website suitable to view across a range of mobile devices as well as on a laptop or PC. The new My Manrose app will give our customers quick and easy access to information on our popular products while on the go. Users can simply access product information both on and offline, meaning it has never been easier to find the right Manrose fan for the job.”

Manrose’s new, simple to access website allows users to find ventilation information quickly and easily. Handy filters allow customers to select exactly the right fan for the application, and can even select on features such as warranty length and energy use. Designed with the manufacturers’ three main customer sectors in mind; electricians, electrical wholesalers, and DIYers; users are easily able to identity the website content that is relevant to them. A new search function adds to this ease of use and makes finding the right product a breeze. The site is also packed with information on how to choose a fan, Building Regulations; how to site a fan correctly; problem solving and more. Product brochures can simply be downloaded and viewed and products are listed by category: bathroom fans, kitchen fans, whole house heat recovery systems, MEV, ducting, heating hygiene and accessories.

Finally, to make things even easier for users and allow them to access product information offline too, the My Manrose app is available for download on the website. Thanks to this helpful app users can find product information quickly and easily. The app can be used on a smartphone or tablet both online and offline to provide users with useful information. The app showcases brochures and datasheets and allows users to view the documents in a list or a grid format, sort the documents by name, date and size, share the documents with others and create a list of frequently viewed documents using the bookmarks list.

The My Manrose app features:

  • Access to a range of product datasheets and brochures.
  • A search tool which helps to find required information easily.
  • Option to bookmark frequently viewed documents.
  • Option to share documents.

The app is an attractive addition to electricians’ toolbox helping them save time when it comes to product selection and installation. Not only will the My Manrose app mean they can find the right product for the job quickly and easily, but it also allows them to check technical brochures on site to help speed-up installation. For wholesalers, they can show customers the My Manrose app instead of flicking through brochures trying to find the right product.
